State of Florida } Before me personaly appeared A. Hague
Alachua County   } who being duly sworn depys deposeths and 
says that he saw the foregoing Deed executed for the use
& purpose therein mentioned     }

      To all whom these presents shall come
Greeting:- Whereas at a sale of lands by Louis A.
Barnes Collector of Revenue for the County of Alachua
at public auction at Gainesville in said County of
Alachua on the 4th day of May in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four
for the non-payment of the Taxes levied and assessed
therein for the year one thousand eight hundred and
seventy three and which remained due and unpaid on
the day of such sale together with the costs and charges due
therewith the following described tracts or parcels of land
viz; One undivided half interest in section nine (9) Town-
ship ten (10) Range twenty(20) and one undivided half in
terest in section sixteen (16) Township ten (10) Range twenty (20)
excepting ninty two (92) acres formerly conveyed to John L.
Young - assessed as the property of Cornelius Rain decd
in Alachua County - sold to J.H. Goss who was the
best bidder therefor for the sum of sixty two Dollars and
Eighty Eight cents which sum was the whole amount of 
Taxes due and unpaid on said tracts of land for the year
aforesaid together with the interest and costs due thereon and the
charges of such sale and has been paid by the said J.H. Goss
to the said Louis A. Barnes Colletor of Revenue aforesaid
    Now therefore know all men by these presents that the
State of Florida in consideration of the sum of money afore-
said and the premises and in conformity unto Law hath and
doth hereby give grant and convey the tracts of land
above described together with the hereditaments and
appurtenances unto the said J.H. Goss and to
his heirs and assigns to their sole use and
behoof forever.
