State of Florida} On this day personally appeared before me Hanah
County of Duval } Douglas for herself and as executrix of the last
Will and Testament of Thomas Douglas deceased to me well
Known as the person described in and who executed the foregoing
Deed of Conveyance and acknowledged that she executed the 
same for the purposes therein expressed whereupon it is acknowledged
that She prayed that the same may be recorded
In Witness whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand and seal
this 13th day of May AD One thousand eight hundred and Seventy

   This Indenture made and entered into on this 20th
day of May AD 1874 Between Ashbury Gay and his wife
Catherine Gay parties of the first part and Peter W.W.
Sparkman party of the second part Witnesseth;-
   That the said parties of the first part for and in consideration
of the sum of ($400.00) Four Hundred Dollars to them in
hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted aliened bar-
gained sold transferred and by these presents give grant alien
bargain sell transfer and convey unto the said party of the 
second part all that tract or parcel of land lying and being
in the County of Alachua State of Florida & better known
& described as follows;- As lying & being in the town of
Waldo & described in the plat of said town as Lot No (5)
Five in Block No (8) Eight - To have & to hold the same de-
scribed premises together with all & singular the rights & privileges
immunities, easements & appurtenances thereunto belonging or
in any wise appertaining unto the said party of the second
part & their heirs as their absolute property in fee simple forever
And the parties of the first part do covenant & agree that they are
seized of a good & indefeasible fee simple to the above premises
& that they have good right to convey the same as they have con-
veyed the same free & discharged from all incumbrances and
liens of every nature & description & that the party of the second part
his heirs & assigns shall quietly & peaceably enjoy the above described
premises against all persons whosoever lawfully claiming the same
& that they will at all times make sure further covenants con-
veyances & assurances at the expense of the said parties of the
