County of Alachua} This Indenture made this 7th day
of June 1875 between John W. Cannon Trustee for Alex D.
Cannon of said State & County of the first part & Lathrop & Co
of the State of Georgia of the second part Witnesseth that for and
in consideration of the sum of one thousand & eighty Dollars to
me in hand paid by the said Lathrop & Co the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged do by these presents grant bargain sell &
convey unto the said Lathrop & Co. their heirs and assigns a certain
piece or parcel of land lying & being in the town of Gainesville Fla.
& known & described as follows - In the south East corner of Frac-
tional part of section five Township ten Range twenty running
along the line of A.G. & W.I.T. Co's Rail Road West two acres;
thence North two & one half acres, thence East two acres thence
South to place of beginning containing five acres to have and
to hold the above granted premises to the said Lathrop & Co their
heirs & assigns in fee simple And the said John W. Cannon as
Trustee will & his heirs executors & administrators shall the said
propery to the said Lathrop & Co their heirs executors &
administrators forever warrant & defend against the lawful de
mands of all persons whatsoever In testimony wereof the said
John W. Cannon as Trustee has hereunto set his hand & seal this the
day & year above written
