and W.A. Colclough party of the second part of the same State & County
aforesaid: Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part for and
in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars, paid at
and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained sold & conveyed and
by these presents doth bargain sell & convey unto unto the
said party of the second part, the south half of a lot of Land
Situate Lying and being in the Town of Gainesville in said
State & County, containing one half acre more or less, and
distinguished in the plan of said County Town as the south half
of Lot Block six (6), Range one (1): To Have and to Hold
said described lot or parcel of Land, with all the appurtenances
forever in fee simple, to the said party of the second part, his
heirs & assigns; and the party of the first part doth hereby forever
warrant & defend the same & the right & title against the claim
of all persons whatever

Alachua County } Josephine M. Brooks, wife of John B. Brooks, who being examined by

& seal, that this relinquishment & renunciation of Dower in the above described
Lot is made freely & voluntarily, & without any compulsion, constraint, apprehension
or fear of or from her said Husband
