Alachua County  } Whereas I, Louis A. Barnes as Sheriff
of Alachua County State of Florida, under and by virtue of
Sundry executions one issued out of the Circuit Court of
Alachua County Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida in favor of
James S. Turner and against James H. Roper and to me as such
Sheriff directed and under and by virtue of another execution
issued out of the Circuit Court for Alachua County Florida in
favor of Thomas B. Bennett and against James H. Roper
and to me as such Sheriff directed did levy upon the
lands hereinafter described and did duly advertise all the
right, title interest and claims of the said Defendant in
said Executions, James H. Roper in or to said lands for sale
on this seventh (7th) day of June AD 1875 to satisfy said
Execution to me directed and whereas I, the said L.A. Barnes the
said Sheriff as aforesaid did on this 7th day of June AD
1875 during the legal hours of sale before the Court House
Door in the Town of Gainesville Florida offer at public outcry
all the right, title, interest or claim of said Defendant James
H. Roper of in or to said lands as hereinafter described and
whereas at said sale Mrs. Sarah R. Barnes became the purchaser
of all the interest right title or claim of the said Defendant
in said Executions James H. Roper of in or to said lands
for the sum of Twelve Dollars that being the highest sum
bid for the same and she being the bidder thereof;- Now
therefore Know all men by these presents that I the said Louis
A. Barnes as Sheriff of the County of Alachua State of Florida
under and by virtue of said sundry writs of Fieri Facias to me
as such Sheriff directed and under and by virtue of said
Levy and sale thereunder on this day made and for and in
consideration of said sum of Twelve Dollars to me as such Sheriff cash
in hand paid by the said Sarah R. Barnes, the receipt whereof I
do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and conveyed and by
these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto her the said Sarah
R. Barnes, all the right title interest equity or claim of the said Defendant
in said Execution James H. Roper of in or to the following described Lots
pieces or parcels of land levied upon and sold as aforesaid to satisfy
said executions - to wit;- Blocks six (6) and seven (7) in Range
seven (7) situated lying and being in the Town of Gainesville
Alachua County Florida - To have and to hold the same
under her the said Sarah R. Barnes her heirs executors admin-
istrators and assigns forever as fully as I the said Louis A. Barnes
as Sheriff as aforesaid might, could, or ought to sell and
