     This Indenture made and entered into this fifth
day of February in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hun-
dred and seventy two, between John Holden and Mary Holden of
Alachua County, State of Florida, of the first part and Tillman
Gordon of the same place of the second part. Witnesseth; That for and
in consideration of the sum of four hundred to them in hand
paid, the parties of the first part, do grant bargain, sell and convey
unto the party of the second part, all that tract or parcel of land
known as the North half of the Northeast quarter of section fourteen in
Township eleven, south of Range twenty-two east, containing eighty acres
more or less.  To have and to hold, to posess and enjoy, unto the said
Tillman Gordon and unto his heirs and assigns forever in fee
simple. And the said John Holden and Mary Holden his
wife, parties of the first part, does hereby covenant and agree to
and with Tillman Gordon, party of the second part, to warrant and
forever defend, the right and title of the above bargained and
sold land with all and singular, the rights and priviledges, there-
unto belonging, or in anywise appertaining against the lawful
claims of any and all persons whomsoever, claiming the same or
any part thereof, hereby acknowledging the receipt from Tillman
Gordon of the aforesaid sum of Four hundred dollars as full
pay and satisfaction for the above described land.
          In testimony whereof the said parties of the first part
hath hereuno set their hands and affixed their seals.
