dition of the foregoing obligation is such that, whereas, 
the said Stephen W. Sparkman, is truly and justly in
debted, to the said Harriet Sparkman, Guardian, &c, of the sec-
ond part, in the full sum of Eight Hundred Hundred and
Fifty (850 Dollars), in a promissory note, bearing date the
7th day of August, 1874, and payable on or before the
first day of January A.D. 1876, with interest from date
at the rate of eight (8) per centum - Now, if the said
Stephen W. Sparkman, shall well and truly pay
to the said note to the said party of the second part,
at maturity, and all interest which may have ac=
crued, then this obligation to be void, else to remain in
full force and virtue. - In testimony whereof we
have hereunto set our hands and seals the day

Bradford County } Know all men by these presents,
that I, Rebecca M. Sparkman, wife of Stephen W.
Sparkman, the partner in the foregoing Mortgage Deed
for and in consideration of the sum of one dol=
lar, to me in hand paid, the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged have renounced, relinquished,
and released, and by these presents renounce, relin=
quish and release all my dower and right of
dower in and to the property therein conveyed unto
the said Harried Sparkman, Guardian of the
minor heirs of Stephen Sparkman, deceased to Have
and to Hold the same forever, In witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal, this the fifteenth day
of October, A.D. 1875
