day of July AD 1875 levy upon the property hereinafter
described the property of the Defendant John T. Matthews
in said Execution and did duly advertise said property for
sale according to the laws on this 6th day September AD 1875
to satisfy said Execution and did on this 6th day of September
AD 1872 sell the same at public outcry before the Court House
Door in the Town of Gainesville Alachua County Florida pur
suant to said advertisement of the same and according to law and
whereas at said sale Isabella S. Strickland became the
purchaser of said property as the same is hereinafter described
for the sum of Ten ($10.00) Dollars, that being the highest
sum bid for the same at said sale and she being the bidder
thereof; Now therefore know all men by these presents
that I, the said Sherman Conant as said United States
Marshal for and in consideration of the said sum of Ten
Dollars to me as said United States Marshal in hand paid
by said Isabella S. Strickland the receipt whereof I do
hereby acknowledge and under and by virtue of said writ
of Fieri facias and the said levy and sale thereunder made
have granted bargained sold and conveyed & by these presents
so grant bargain sell and convey unto her the said Isabella
S. Strickland an undivided one half interest in the
following described tract of land to wit; North half North
East quarter of section fourteen (14) Township Eight (8)
South, Range nineteen (19) containing Eighty two & 1/100
acres; also North West quarter of South East quarter of
Section fourteen (14) Township Eight (8)South Range
nineteen  (19) East, containing forty one & 41/100 acres
also South west quarter of Section thirteen (13) and West half of the North
West quarter of Section thirteen (13) and West half of North West quarter of
Section twenty four (24) and East half of South East quarter of Section
Fourteen (14) all in Township Eight (8) South of Range nineteen (19)
East containing four hundred & fifty (450) acres all situated in 
Alachua County within the Northern District of Florida the same being
the property levied upon the Execution aforesaid and sold as aforesaid
on this day as the property of the Defendant John T. Matthews to sat
isfy said Execution = To have and to hold the said undivided half
interest in the said property above described to her the said Isabella S.
Strickland her heirs executors administrators & assigns in fee simple
forever as fully as I, the Said Sherman Conant as said United States
Marshal under and by virtue of said writ of Fieri facias and the levy
and sale thereunder on this day made might, could or ought to
sell and convey the same.
