Execution, did, on the 2d day of April, A.D. 1873,
levy upon and seize the property hereinafter
described and did by virtue of said Decree and
Execution, and pursuant to the Statutes in such
cases made and provided, duly advertise the
said property for sale on the 5th day of May
A.D. 1873, and did on that day sell the same at
public auction, according to law, to James B. Brown,
for the sum of Twelve Hundred Dollars, being
the highest sum bid for the same - Now Therefore
Know all men by these presents that I, the said
Louis A. Barnes, as Sheriff as aforesaid, by virtue
of the said Decree and Execution and of
the Statutes in such case made and pro-
vided for and in consideration of the said
sum of Twelve Hundred Dollars, paid by the
said James B. Brown, of said County and
State, have granted, bargained and sold; and
by these presents do grant, bargain and sell un-
to the said James B. Brown, his heirs and assigns
forever all the following property to wit:- Block Two
(2) Range Four (4) situate in the Town of Gaines-
ville, Alachua County, Florida known as the Sw
uannee Hotel property, together with all the rights
titles, interest and equities which the said George
L. Barnes had of, in or to the above described
property. - To Have and to Hold as fully as I
the said Louis A. Barnes as Sheriff, as aforesaid
might, could or ought to sell and convey the same
