State of Florida } This Indenture made and entered into this 15th
County of Alachua} day of December A.D. 1873 Between Robert H. Hall
and Mary H. Hall this wife parties of the first part and Allen
Nelson party of the second part. Witnesseth that whereas the
said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the
payment of Ten Bales of Cotton of the class known as Sea
Island by the said party of the second part at the rate of Three
Bales per annum commencing with the year A.D. 1874 and pay-
able regularly thereafter the parties of the first part hath bar-
gained and sold and do hereby covenant and agree to convey by
good warrantee titles to the said party of the second part all
that certain tract or parcel of land known and described as commen-
cing at Stake in a line running East & West through Section Thirty-
five (35) Township Eleven (11) Range Twenty one (21) when said line
crosses a stream of water near the centre of said section then follow-
ing the said stream up the current to a pole bridge across said
stream thence running due south to the section line between sections
no thirty five and section Two laying in Marion County and forming
the County line between the Counties of Marion & Alachua thence East
along said line to the South East corner of said section No (2) two
then following the section line between sections Thirty five and
Thirty six (35) & (36) north to the first line mentioned or to its inter
section with this line thence East along said first line mentioned to
the point of beginning and containing One Hundred and Sixty
Acres more or less in the South East quarter of Section Thirty five
(35) Township (11) Eleven of what is known as the Arredondo Grant
in the County of Alachua to have and to hold the same with all
and singular the rights improvements and appurtenances thereunto
belonging or in anywise appertaining to the only proper use and
benefit and behoof of the said of the second part his heirs executors
or assigns in fee simple forever and provided also that if the said
party of the second part shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid
the said cotton heretofore mentioned of the several times mentioned
then and in that case the said parties of the first will make or
cause to be made to him or his heirs the said warrantee Titles or forfeit
and pay the sum of Two Thousand Dollars. In witness whereof
the said parties of the first part hath hereunto set their hands
