County of Alachua} the Court for Alachua County personally came
William Edwards one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing
Indenture who being duly sworn says he saw the same signed
sealed and delivered by the parties whose names are thereunto
subscribed for the purposes therein contained sworn to and
subscribed before me this 16th day

Alachua County } This Indenture made on the sixth day of De-
cember in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy five
between Louis A. Barnes as Sheriff of Alachua County of
of the first part and William Edwards of the second part
Witnesseth That whereas on the fourth day of January in the
year one thousand eight hundred and seventy five the said
party of the first part was commanded by virtue of a scire
Facias issuing out of the Circuit Court for the said County
of Alachua that of the goods and chattels lands and tenements
of George W. Means & James A. Simonton he should cause
to be made the sum of Two Thousand Nine Hundred and
Ninety Nine 14/100 Dollars which William Edwards on the
twentieth day of February in the year one thousand eight
hundred and seventy one recorded in the Circuit Court
for Alachua County against the said George W. Means &
James A. Simonton together with costs to the amount of Five 25/100
Dollars together with lawful interest on said sum of money from
the rendition of said judgment until paid. And whereas the said
Lewis A. Barnes Sheriff aforesaid did on the thirtieth day of Oct-
ober in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy five
by virtue of said writ execute the same by levying on the following
described property belonging to the said G.W. Means to wit Two Hund
red acres of land in Section Thirty-one (31) of Township Eleven (11)
of Range Twenty one (21) of the Arredondo Grant in the County
of Alachua & State aforesaid commencing at the South East
corner of said section and running West Twenty-five chains
thence North paralell with the Eastern section line one mile
to the northern boundary line of said section thence East. |
