This Indenture made this 19th day of October AD 1875 between
Sherman Conant Marshal of the United States for the Northern
District of Florida of the first part and M.P. Perry of the
State of Florida of the second part.
  Whereas by virtue of a certain execution issued out of and
under the seal of the circuit court of the United States for
the Fifth Circuit and Northern Dist of Florida dated the 16th
day of April A.D. 1868 at the suit of Charles P. Baldwin Charles
J. Starr Andrew T. Anderson and James T. Anderson citizen of
the state of New York Merchant and Partners doing business
as Baldwin Starr the Plaintiffs against Allen W. Mason Dan
iel Scott and Henry Gradick citizens of the State of Florida
doing business as A.W. Mason the Defendants directed and
delivered to the said Marshal commanding him that of the
goods and chattels lands and tenements of said Defendants
he cause to be made certain monies in said execution spec-
ified the said Sheriff deed levy on and seize all the estate
right title and interest which the said Defendant Daniel
Scott had of in and to the property herein after described
and on the first Monday in October A.D. 1875 (being the
4th day of the month and a legal sale day) sold the said prop
erty at public auction in front of the Court House Door in the
town of Gainesville in the county of Alachua and within the
the Northen Dist of Florida having first given notice of the
time and place of such sale by advertising said proeprty for
