County of Alachua} One Thousand Eight Hundred & Seventy five by &
between E.T. Hawthorn & his wife Hariet R. Hawthorn of first part

& Calvin Waits of Second^Witnesseth that said parties of first part
for and in consideration of the Sum of Four Hundred Dollars
($40000) Dollars to them in hand paid has bargained sold & convey
ed & by these presents do bargain sell & convey unto said party of
second part his heirs and assigns forever the following described
lands viz Beginning at North East Corner of South West quarter
of Section Twenty seven Township Ten Range Twenty Two Running
thence four acres due South thence two acres due west Thence four
acres due North Thence four acres due East to point of Starting
containing in all Eight acres more or less to have and to hold
the same forever together with all and Singular the tenements
hereditaments and appurtenances thereto together with all dower
or right of dower in and to the same and furthermore agree
with and to said party of second part to warrant and defend
him his heirs and assigns in the quiet and peaceful possession
