Alachua County  } day of October One Thousand Eight hun-
dred seventy five between James F. Gwin of the State
and County of the aforesaid party of the first part and E. Monta-
gue Grimkie adminstrator with the Will annexed of the
last will and testament of Thomas Napier decd of Charles-
ton South Carolina of the second part. Witnesseth that the 
said James F. Gwin hath this day made and delivered 
unto the said E. Montague Grimki adminstrator as aforesaid
his two certain promissory notes bearing even dates with these
presents whereby the said James M. Gwin promises to pay or
cause to be paid to the said E. Montague Grimki adminstrator
