Alachua County   } Whereas I, Louis A. Barnes as Sheriff of 
Alachua County State of Florida under and by virtue of an order
of sale issued out of the Circuit Court of Alachua County Fifth
Judicial Circuit of Florida in favor of Samuel L. Smith and
against L.A. Barnes as Ex off admr Est Wm E. Bauknight and
to me as such Sheriff directed did levy upon the lands hereinafter
described and did duly advertise all the right title interest and claim of
the said Defendant in said order of sale in or to said lands for
sale on this 4th day of October A.D. 1875 to satisfy said order of
sale to me directed and whereas I the said L.A. Barnes the said
Sheriff as aforesaid did on this 4th day of October A.D. 1875 du-
ring the legal hours of sale before the Court House door in the 
town of Gainesville Florida offer at public outcry all the right title
interest or claim of said Defendant in or to said lands as hereinafter
described and whereas at said sale Samuel L. Smith became the pur
chaser of all the interest right title or claim of the said Defend
ant in said order of sale of in or to said lands for the sum of
Two hundred and fifty dollars that being the highest sum bid for
the same and he being the bidder thereof Now therefore know
all men by these presents: That I, the said Louis A. Barnes
as Sheriff of said County of Alachua and State of Florida
under and by virtue of an order of sale to me as such Sheriff dir
ected and under and by virtue of said levy and sale thereunder
on this day made and for and in consideration of said sum of
Two Hundred and fifty Dollars to me as such Sheriff cash in hand
paid by the said Samuel L. Smith the receipt whereof I do hereby
acknowledge have granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these
