County of Alachua } This Indenture made this 21st of Decem
                   ber (1875) One thousand eight hundred
and seventy five Between John S. Lewis of Alachua County
Florida by occupation a farmer of the first part and Alex
ander Goodson of Alachua County Florida by occupation a 
farmer of the second part witnesseth that the said party
of the first part in consideration of the sum of one hun-
dred and fifty Dollars in hand paid (the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged) have granted bargained and sold
and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto 
the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns all
that piece or parcel of land situated in section (24) Township
(9) Range (22) in County of Alachua and State of Florida
to wit: N 1/2 of NW 1/4 of section (24) Township (9) S Range 22
E containing seventy nine 79 64/100 and sixty four one
hundredths of acres. Together with the appurtenances
thereunto belonging: and all the estate right title
interest claim and demand of the said party of
the first part herein: And the said John S. Lewis party
of first part hereby expressly waive release relinquish and
convey unto the said party of the second part and his heirs
executors administrators and assigns all right title claim
interest and benefit whatsoever in and to the above de
scribed premises and each part thereof which is given by or
results from any and all laws of the State pertaining to
the exemption of homesteads. And the said John S. Lewis
for himself his heirs executors and administrators do
covenant grant bargain and agree to and with the said
party of the second part and with his heirs and assigns that
the above bargained premises in the quiet and peaceable posses
sion of the said party of second part and his heirs and assigns
to said party of first part shall and will warrant and forever
defend. In witness whereof the said party of the first part has
hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above
