This Indenture made and entered into this January 7th A.D.
1876 between Martha J. Sykes James F. Sykes Amanda A. Sykes
wife of said James F. Sykes Owen W. Sykes Laura Syke wife
of said Owen W. Josiah S. Syke Virginia Syke wife of said 
Josiah S. (the said Amanda A. Laura, and Virginia, becom-
ing parties to this deed for the purpose of renouncing & relin-
quishing their rights & title to dower in the premises hereinafter
conveyed) of the first part, and W.M. Sherouse of the second
part witnesseth: that that the parties of the first part for
and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to
them paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have 
granted bargained sold and conveyed and so by these
presents grant bargain sell and convey to the party of the 
second part his heirs and assigns all that certain tract or
parcel of land lying in the County of Alachua & State of Florida
and known & designated as follows - fractional section fourteen (14)
in Township twelve (12) South of Range twenty two (22) East
containing one hundred acres more or less: To have and to
hold to the said party of the second part his heirs & assigns
together with all the rights and privileges thereto apper-
taining: And the said parties of the first part the said 
land to the party of the second part his heirs & assigns will
forever warrant & defend by these presents.
      In testimony whereof the said parties of the first
part have hereunto set their hands and affixed their
seals this the day and year before written.
