eight hundred and seventy-two before me personally
came Charles H. Davis and Nancy Davis - his wife ~ to
me known to be the individuals described in, and who
executed the within conveyance, who severally acknowl
edged that they executed the same.
And the said Nancy on a private examina-
tion by me made separate and apart from her said
husband acknowledged to me that she signed
sealed and executed the same freely without any fear,
threats or compulsion of or from her said husband.

Supreme Court for the said city and county, the
same being a court of record, do hereby certify that
James L. Dayton whose name is subscribed to the cer-
tificate of the proof or ackowledgment of the an-
nexed instrument, and thereon written, was, at the
time of taking such proof or acknowledgment, a notary
public in and for the city and county of New York,
dwelling in the said city, commissioned and
sworn, and duly authorized to take the same. And
further that I am well acquainted with the hand
writing of such Notary, and verify believe that
the signature to the said certificate of proof or acknowl-
edgement is genuine. have
