was commanded that of the goods and chattels, lands
and tenements of the said Charles P. Crawford he cause to
be made the sum of one hundred nineteen & 11/100 Dollars
with interest therein together with costs which John J.
Thompson lately on the 14th day of March A.D. 1873
recovered in the County Court against the said 
Charles P. Crawford; and whereas I, Louis A. Barnes
as Sheriff as aforesaid, by virtue of said writs did on
the first day of May A.D. 1873 levy upon and seize
the property hereinafter described and did by virtue
of the said writs and pursuant to the Statutes in
such cases made & provided duly advertise the said
property for sale on the 2nd day of June AD 1873 and
did on that day sell the same at public auction
according to law, to John J. Thompson for the sum
of Ten Dollars, being the highest sum bid for the
same. 
    Now therefore Know Ye that I, the said Louis A.
Barnes Sheriff as aforesaid, by virtue of the said writs
and of the Statutes in such cases made and provided
for, and in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars
to me in hand paid by the said John J. Thompson
party of the second part, have granted, bargained and
sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell
unto the said John J. Thompson party of the second
part his heirs and assigns forever, all the following
property to wit; The East half of Section two (2) and
the East half of the North west quarter of section two (2) &
the west half of section one (1), the north west quarter of
section one (1) and the north west quarter of the South
west quarter of section one (1) and the north west quarter
of north west quarter of section two (2); containing eighteen
hundred and sixty-acres more or less, lying and being
in the County of Alachua & State of Florida together with
all the rights, titles, interests        which the said Charles
P. Crawford had of in and to the same.  To have and to
hold as fully as I, the said Louis A. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid
might, could or ought to convey the same. Given under my
hand and seal this the second day of June AD 1873.
