                    Public Notice
The registered voters of Waldo and vicinity are hereby notified
and required to meet at the school house in Waldo at 6 oclock
P.M. on Saturday January 15th 1876, Then and there to elect
officers and organize a municipal government Also the
qualified electors present shall select a corporate name
and seal, And also designate by definite meets and bounds the
teritorial limits thereof for the municipality which they pro-
pose to found, And they shall proceed to choose by a major-
ity of said electors, a Mayor and 9 Aldermen a Clerk and
Marshall To Continue in office for one year or until their
successors are elected and qualified. This 16th day of Decem-
ber 1875

In accordance with request of Public Notice herein
embodied, the citizens of Waldo convened at school house
January 15, 1876. Mr. S.J. Kennard was called to the and
Dr. J.M. Perry requested to act as Secretary.
  There being twenty five (25) qualified voters present, the
same proceeded to incorporate the Town of Waldo and com-
plying with laws relative to incorporation proceeded to Elect
the following officers

                  The following metes and boundaries were adop-
ted as metes and bounds for the Town of Waldo viz:
Commencing at the North West corner of S. West quarter
(1/4) of Section fourteen (14) Township Eight (8) Range
twenty one (21) East and running thence due South
one and one fourth (1 1/4) miles to South West corner of
South West quarter (1/4) of Section twenty three (23) Town-
ship Eight (8) Range twenty one (21) Thence East one and
one quarter (1 1/4) miles to the South East corner of the
North West quarter (1/4) of South West quarter (1/4) of section
