Alachua County } This Indenture made and entered into this
25th day of January A.D. 1876 between Ola Matheson and William
C. Matheson, husband of the said Ola Matheson of the
first part and Kate R. Young, wife of P.H. Young of the
second part all of the State and County aforesaid.
Witnesseth: That the said parties of the first part
for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred ($10000)
Dollars paid to the said Ola Matheson by the said party
of the second part, at and before the sealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have
granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents do
grant, bargain sell and convey unto the said party of the
second part, the northern portion of that Lot tract or parcel
of land lying and being in the town of Gainesville, State and
County aforesaid the whole of which said lot was conveyed
by deed of James B. Bailey to Susan J. McDonell, wife of
T.A. McDonell on the first day of February A.D. 1861
And conveyed by T.A. McDonell and S.J. McDonell to S.
F. Harvard by their deed dated January 1st A.D. 1867.
And conveyed by S.F. Harvard and L.A. Harvard to Elise M.
Haile by their deed dated February 5th A.D. 1867 and conveyed
to Elise M. Haile and Charles E. Haile to Ola Matheson
by their deed dated November 11th A.D. 1875. All of which
deeds are of record in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court of said County. Now the portion of said lot hereby
conveyed is described as follows to wit: beginning at the
North East corner of the lot above mentioned and described
and running South along the Western boundary line of Main
Street One hundred (100) feet, Thence West one hundred (100)
feet; Thence North thirty feet (30). Thence West one hundred
(100) feet to the Western boundary line of said lot. Thence
North along the Street line, Seventy (70) feet to the North West
corner of the said lot, thence East along the street line, Two
hundred (200) feet to the point of beginning.
Together with all the rights tenements and hertidaments
appertaining in any wise to the said lot of land.
To have and to hold the said lot of land with all the
appurtenances unto the said party of the second part her
heirs and assigns forever. And the said parties of the first part
do hereby warrant and will forever defend the title of the
said lot of land in and to the said party of the second part
her heirs and assigns forever. In testimony whereof |
