thereunto in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the above
granted premises I the said Edward Gradick his heirs and assigns
in fee simple forever and the said Mary M. Gradick will and her 
heirs executors and administrators Shall the said property to the
said Edward Gradick his heirs executors and administrators for
ever warrant and defend against the lawful demands of all
persons whatever.
  The covenant is entered into and upon the conditions that the
said Mary M. Gradick shall hold possession of the above described
land and controll the same together with all the rents and proffits
arrising from the use of said land for her own use and ben
efit during her life
       In testimony whereof the said Mary M. Gradick has
hereunto set her hand and seal this 22nd day of December A.D.

This Indenture made and entered into on this the fifth day of

and seventy two between J. Eli Gregg of Mars Bluff South Carolina
party of the first part and Samuel A. Swann of Fernandina
State of Florida party of the second part. Witnesseth:
    That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of
the sum of Six hundred Dollars, to him in hand paid by the
said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowl
edged has given granted aliened bargained, sold, transferred:
