provide for and encourage a liberal system of internal im-
provements in this State approved January 6th 1855 for and in
consideration of the sum of Seventy five cents per acre to them
in hand paid by William T. Shuford of the County of
State of Florida have granted bargained and sold and do by 
these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said
William T. Shuford and his heirs and assigns forever the following
described Lands to wit: Fractional Section Seventeen in
Township Twelve South of Range Twenty two East con
taining thirty eight 18/100 acres and lying and being in the coun
ty of Alachua in said State of Florida:
    To have and to hold unto the said William T. Shuford and
his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple.
   In testimony whereof, A majority of said Trustees have
hereunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals and
have caused an impression of the seal of "The Florida State Land
Office" to be made hereupon at the Capitol in the City of
Tallahassee on this the Tenth day of Mar A.D. eighteen hundred
and Seventy three

State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that we Lucy
Duval County     } M. Bowden and John R. Bowden her husband
both of the aforesaid County and State for and in consideration of the
sum of One hundred dollars to me the said Lucy M. Bowden
each in hand paid by Lola Bracy of the town of Gainesville
Alachua County Fla the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge
          bargained
have granted^sold and conveyed; and by these presents do grant
bargain sell and convey unto her the said Lola Bracy all
that certain lot piece or parcel of land lying being and situ-
ated in the Town of Gainesville in the County of Alachua in
the State of Florida the same being a part or portion of the
East half of the West half of Lot No Twenty (20) of Brush's
Addition to the Town of Gainesville Fla and commencing at the
South West corner of the lots or parcel of land in said
town of Gainesville conveyed by us the grantors herein by
deed of this day and date to Mrs Charlotte Dumas thence from
said beginning point running West Forty two and a half
