                  Know all men by these presents: that we,
Samuel McCormick and M.L. McCormick, his wife of the
County of Alachua, State of Florida, in consideration of the sum
of one thousand one hundred dollars, to us in hand paid, and
by us received, do hereby bargain, sell, grant, and convey unto C.J.
Waitts, his heirs and assigns, all that certain piece of land, lying
and being in the County and State aforesaid, and which is
known as follows, to wit:- The East half of the South-west quarter
of Section No. 15 in Township 10 South of Range 22, Containing
Eighty ~80~ acres more or less: Also S.W. 1/4 of South west quarter
of Section No. 15 Township 10 South of Range 22 containing forty
~40~ acres: Also the North-east one quarter of N.W. quarter of
Section number 22 in township 10 South of Range 22: contain-
ing forty acres ~40~: Also that fractional west half of the S.E.
quarter of Section Number 15 township 10 South of Range 22
lying west of the Rail Road and all that part of the North-west
quarter of the North-east quarter of Section 22 Township 10 South
of Range 22 East: lying north of the Gainesville Road and west of
the Rail Road containing in all fourteen ~14~ acres more or less:
Containing in aggregate, One hundred and seventy (174) acres
together with all the tenements hereditaments and appurtenan
ces: with every priviledge, right, title, interest and estate re-
version, remainder and easement thereunto belonging, or in
any-wise appertaining, to have and to hold forever.
          And we covenant with the said C.J. Waits her heirs
and assigns, that we are lawfully seized of said premises, that
they are free of all incumbrances, and that we will warrant and
defend the title to the said premises against the Claims of all
persons.
        In witness whereof the Samuel McCormick as well
as M.L. McCormick, his wife, who joins in this coveyance for
the purpose of transferring her claims to, and relinquishing her
right of dower, in the above described premises, have hereunto set
their hands, and affixed their seals this 25th day of Feby. 1871.
