Alachua County } Whereas my husband William May did
on the Twenty-fourth day of December A.D. 1862 sell and
convey by deed in fee simple the lands hereinafter
to be described to Stephen McCall for the sum of six thousand
dollars, and whereas the titles to said lands have since said time
passed out of said Stephen McCall and have come to the hands
of James M. Girvin = Now know all men by these presents that I,
Nancy May, wife of said William May for and in consideration of
sum of one Dollar to me in hand paid have granted, bargained
and sold, released, relinquished and renounced, and by these presents
do grant, bargain and sell, release relinquish and renounce to him
the said James M. Girvin, all right, title, interest or claims to
Dower which I have now, or which I may hereafter have of, in or to
that certain piece or parcel of land, lying being and situated in the
County of Alachua and state of Florida, known as a part or
subdivision of the Arredondo Grant, particularly described as
section Thirty one (31) Township nine (9) Range Twenty (20)
containing six hundred and forty acres, saving and excepting
twenty eight (28) acres part and parcel of the above described tract
heretofore sold to Andrew Robb. To have and to hold the same
to him the said James M. Girvin, his heirs and assigns forever.
