City of Baltimore}  Know all men by these presents that I,
James M. Girvin of the city of Baltimore and State of Mary=
land for and in consideration of the sum of Fifteen hundred
Dollars secured to be paid to me by Thomas Freeze of the
County of Alachua and State of Florida, have bargained
sold and conveyance and by these presents do grant, bar=
gain, sell and convey unto the said Thomas Freeze his
heirs executors administrators and assigns all that certain
piece or parcel of land situated in Alachua County
& State of Florida together with the appurtenances and
fixtures thereunto belonging described as follows, com=
mencing at the half mile Station on the Eastern boundary of
Section thirty one (31) in Township nine (9) Range twenty
(20) running thence due west until it intersects with the West=
ern boundary of said section Township & Range thence
due South to the Southern boundary of said land, thence East
to the corner of Robb's land & Section 31 thence along Eastern
boundary of said Section to the half mile Stake or the
place of beginning To have and to hold the said lands am=
ounting to Two hundred and ninety two acres more or less to him
the said Thomas Freeze his heirs executors administrators 
and assigns forever. In witness whereof I hereunto set my

sioner of the State of Florida, duly qualified and commissioned
appeared personally James M. Girvin the Grantor in the within
and foregoing Deed to Thomas Freeze, who in due form of law
acknowledged the same to be his free act and deed for the uses and
purposes therein mentioned and I further certify that the said
James M. Girvin is personally known to me to be the person who
executed the within & foregoing Deed by him sealed and delivered
