Sheriff's Deed
State of Florida}
Alachua County  } This Indenture made this fourth day
of August A.D. 1873 between Louis A. Barnes Sheriff of
said County of the first party and Austin & Ellis of the
County of Chatham and State of Georgia Witnesseth
      That whereas by virtue of a certain writ of Fieri
facias issued out of the Circuit Court for said County
against Williams & Berry and whereas I Louis A. Barnes
as Sheriff aforesaid by virtue of said writ did on the 27th
day of June AD 1873 Levy upon and seize the property
hereinafter described and did by virtue of said writ
and in pursuance of the Statutes in such cases made and
provided duly advertise the said property for sale on
the fourth day of August A.D. 1873 and did on that day
                        according to law
sell the same at public action^to Austin & Ellis for the
sum of seventy five Dollars being the highest sum bid for
the same;
    Now therefore know ye that I the said Louis A. Barnes
as Sheriff aforesaid by virtue of the said writ and the Statutes
in such cases made and provided, for and in consideration
of the said sum of seventy five Dollars to me paid by the
said Austin & Ellis parties of the second part have granted
bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain
and sell unto the said Austin & Ellis party of the second
part their heirs and assigns forever, all the following property
to wit; all the right title and interest that Williams & Berry
has or had in or to the East half of South west quarter and
west half of the South East quarter of section thirty four (34)
Also the East half of the South East quarter of Section twenty seven
Also the West half of the North West quarter of Section twenty six (26)
Also the North west quarter of the North East quarter, South west quarter
of the North East quarter; west half of East half of North East
quarter of section thirty four; also the west half of South East
quarter of section twenty one seven; also the west half of South East
North East quarter of Section thirty four; also the East half of the
South East quarter of section thirty four. All in Township seven
Range eighteen south and east and containing five hundred
and twenty acres more or less together with the rights, titles interests
and equities which the said William & Berry had in or to the same
     To have and to hold as fully as I the said Louis A. Barnes
as Sheriff as aforesaid might, could or ought to sell and
convey the same
