of the first part therein and the said party of the first part
doth hereby covenant and agree with the second part that
at the time of the delivery hereof that the said party of the
first part is the lawful owner of the premises above gran
ted and seized thereof in fee simple and that he will
warrant and defend the above granted premises in the
quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the
second part his heirs and assigns forever in witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th
day of April in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred

State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that I
Alachua County   } Mary J. Brown (formerly Mary J. Hicks)
together with Jackson Brown my present husband for and
in consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to me
the said Mary J. Brown cash in hand paid, the receipt where-
of I do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained, sold and con-
veyed: and forever quit claimed and by these presents do grant,
bargain, sell and convey; and forever quit claim unto
R.G.H. Thomas of the aforesaid County and State all the right
title, Equity, or claim which I the said Mary J. Brown now
have, or may here after have of in or to all that certain lot,
piece or parcel of Land lying being and situated in the
Town of Gainesville, in the County of Alachua in the State
of Florida, particularly described as Commencing at a point
on the Northern boundary of the Lot in the said Town of Gaines-
ville numbered according S.F. Hallidays survey as Lot No Thirty-
seven (37) of Browns Addition to Gainesville", which is Two hun-
dred and Eighty five (285) feet west, of the North East cor-
ner of said Lot No Thirty seven (37) thence from said begin-
-ing point, West Three hundred and Forty five (345) feet
thence south six hundred and thirty (630) feet to the
southern boundary of said Lot No Thirty seven (37) thence
East Three hundred and forty five feet, (345) thence
North six hundred and thirty (630) feet to the place
of beginning containing five (5) acres more or less,
together with all and singular the tenements heredi=
