This Indenture made this third day of March in the year 1876
Between Mary M. Lewis heir at law & devisee under the will of Sam=
=uel Betts and widow of John H. Lewis, of the State of Alabama party of
the first part and Thomas B. Ellis of Alachua County Florida party of the
second part witnesseth that the said party of the first part, in con=
sideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars lawful money of the
United States to her in hand paid, Hath released bargained and
quit claimed and by these presents doth release bargain and quit
claim to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
all the following parcel of land situate in Alachua County State
of Florida and described as follows to wit; section No seven
of Township No Ten of Range No twenty containing 578 89/100 acres
and also sec No Eighteen of Township No ten of Range No Twenty
containing 108 acres all in the "Arredondo Grant" To have and to
hold the said above described premises to the said party of the
second part his heirs and assigns forever

in the foregoing conveyance voluntarily executed the same in

witness on the day the same bears date. That he attested the
same in the presence of the grantor and the other sub=
scribing witness and that the other witness subscribed to the
same in his presence and in the presence of the grantor
