Alachua County   } This Indenture made this the nineteenth day of
January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy seven Between Richard C. Davis the party of the first part
and James E.W. Markey the party of the second part all of the State
of Florida & County of Alachua, Witnesseth that the aforesaid party of
the first part for and in consideration of the sum of ($175.00 one hundred
and seventy five dollars to him in hand paid by Jas E.W. Markey
for the benefit of his heirs and assigns the receipt whereof are duly
acknowledged hath bargained sold and conveyed and by these pres-
ents doth bargain sell and convey all of that certain tract or parcel
of land lying and being in the aforesaid State and County known
and designated as the) South East 1/4 of North West 1/4 & South West 1/4
of South West 1/4 of section (13) thirteen Township (7) seven south of
Range (19) nineteen East containing Eighty acres more or less. To
have and to hold unto the said party of the second part his heirs
and assigns with all and singular the hereditaments and appur-
tenances together with every thing thereunto belonging and the afore
party of the first by these presents doth warrant and defend the afore-
said described premises unto the aforesaid party of the second part
his heirs and assigns forever and against himself his heirs and 
assigns and all persons whomsoever in Law or Equity.

Know all men by these presents that I Marion B. Davis wife of the said
Richard C. Davis do by these presents made and executed by me separate
and apart from my said husband and in the presence of M.M. Lewey a
Judicial officer of the State of Florida acknowledge and declare that
I did make myself a party to and executed the foregoing deed for
the purpose of relinquishing and renouncing all dower or right of
dower I may or ought to have in and to the said described lands
and that I freely and voluntarily signed and sealed the above
deed without any compulsion, apprehension or fear from my
husband the said Richard C. Davis.
