known that on this 11th day of December AD 1876 personally
appeared before me a Justice of the Peace of the State of Florida,
the above named Sarah Spencer to me well known as the wife of
Nathan Spencer and as one of the persons described in and who
executed the foregoing Deed of Conveyance, who being at the time
separate and apart from her husband, the said Nathan Spencer
did then and there make and execute the foregoing acknowl=
edgement, her name being with her own hand subscribed and her seal
affixed in my presence,

Alachua County } Whereas we D.M. Finger and M.L. Finger
of Alachua County Florida did bargain & sell & undertook to
convey to Frances J. Grissom wife of John R.W. Grissom a certain
Lot of Land lying and situate in the town of Gainesville State & County
aforesaid measuring one hundred and seventy nine (179) feet
East and West by (315) three hundred & fifteen feet North & South
as more particularly described in said Deed of conveyance dated
Eleventh (11) day of March AD 1867, and Recorded in Book "G"
pages 172 & 173 on the 12 March 1867 in the County of Alachua
and whereas there seems to be a clerical error in said description
by omission accident or mistake in omitting the word "Nine"
after one hundred and seventy though the figures 179 express our
true intent & meaning.
Now know all men that desiring to amend and correct said
error and to convey the Lands by this & the former Deed as
aforesaid to Mrs Frances J. Grissom we hereby convey the same then
intended to be conveyed to wit: the lot, tract or parcel of land in
the town of Gainesville Florida, measuring (179) one hundred
and seventy nine feet East & West by (315) three hundred & fifteen
feet North & South being the west end of Block and
bounded north by the Public Road leading to the Court
House square in Gainesville on the East by ______ Street |
