This Indenture made and entered into this 30th day of April AD
1877 between James Doig and Wm H. Robertson and their wives Frances
W. Doig and Margaret E. Robertson (who join in this deed for the
purpose of renouncing and relinquishing their right of Dower
to the premises hereinafter conveyed) of the first part and James
C. Witherspoon of the second part,
                         Witnesseth that the parties of the first
part for and in consideration of the sum twenty five dollars, to
them paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted,
bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell
and convey to the party of the second part, all that certain tract
or parcel of land known and described in a map of Voyles Survey
of 1876 as Lot 9, Block 1, Range 1, of an eastern addition
to the town of Gainesville in the County of Alachua and State of Florida
To have and to hold to the said party of the second part, his heirs and 
assigns with the rights and appurtenances thereto belonging, and the
title to the same the parties of the first part, to the party of the
second part, his heirs and assigns shall and will forever warrant
and defend by these presents.

Alachua County   } Personally appeared before me R.F. Taylor
a Notary Public in and for said State and County, Frances W.
Doig wife of James Doig and Margaret E. Robertson wife of
Wm H. Robertson to me personally known, who having been first ex=
amined by me separately and apart from their said husbands ack=
nowledged that they renounced and relinquished all their right
of Dower in and to the premises conveyed in the foregoing deed
made by them and James Doig and Wm H. Robertson to James
C. Witherspoon and dated the 30th day of April 1877 freely
and voluntarily and without any compulsion, constraint appre=
hension or fear of or from their husbands; and also appeared before
me James Doig and Frances W. Doig and Wm H. Robertson and
Margaret E. Robertson and acknowledged that they had executed
the said deed for the purposes therein stated
