and peacable possession of the said party of the second part,

Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that I
Sarah S. Johnson wife of Franklin Johnson, one of the grantors
above named, for and in consideration of the premises in forego-
ing deed and of five dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained and sold and
by these presents do grant sell and convey to Susan W. DePoortere
all my interest and right of dower in and to the premises
above described, forever; In witness whereof I hereunto set my
hand and seal this 25th day of May AD 1877.

Alachua County   } K. Cessna, Annie L. Barton wife of D.W.L. Barton, Sarah
S. Johnson wife of Franklin Johnson being examined by the undersi
gned severally and separately and apart from their said husbands
each severally acknowledged that she executed the foregoing deed
of conveyance, and Sarah S. Johnson the said renunciation and
conveyance of Dower, for the purpose of conveying to Sarah W. Pootere,
the grantee therein named, all their several interests and rights
in and to said premises in fee simple and in dower, in law or
equity, freely and voluntarily, and without any compulsion, con-
straint, apprehension, or fear of, or from, the husband of either of
them
 In testimony whereof I herein to set my hand and seal this
