This Indenture made this 2nd day of June in the year one thousand
Eight Hundred and seventy seven between William Edwards of the
State of Florida & County of Alachua, of the first part, and Frances W.
Fontane of the same State & County of the second part,
Witnesseth that the said party of the first part, for and in con-
sideration of the sum of Four hundred and fifty dollars, to him
duly paid before the delivery hereof, hath bargained and sold
& by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said
party of the second part, all that certain piece or parcel of land
lying and being in the town of Gainesville, in said State and County
& known and described in the map of said town as the south half
of Block Four, Range Six
To Have and to hold all and singular the above mentioned and
described premises togather with the appurtenances, unto the
said party of the second part forever in fee simple,
And the said party of the first part doth hereby covenant with
the said party of the second part, that he will warrant & defend
the above granted premises in the quiet and peaceable possession
of the said party of the said party of the second part her heirs
Executors or Administrators; forever.
And Julia A. Edwards the wife of the said William Edwards,
for the consideration aforesaid and for divers good and
valuable considerations, do hereby release relinquish & quit
claim unto the said party of the second part, her heirs executors
& Administrators, all my dower or right of dower in and to the
property granted & conveyed herein.
  In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our hands
and seals this the day & date above written
