State of Florida } Whereas I, P.H. Young as Commissioner by an
Alachua County   } order of the Probate Court, in and for Alachua
County Florida made and rendered on the 26th day of April AD
1877 duly and legally authorized and empowered to sell the real
estate herein described belonging to the estate of James M. Stew-
art late of said County deceased for the payment of debts
of said Estate; whereas due publication of the time and place
of said sale was made pursuant to law and in with said order
And whereas I did as such Commissioner on the 14th day of June
AD 1877 Sell the said land as hereinafter described at public
outcry before the Court House door in the town of Gaines-
ville Alachua County Florida, pursuant to said publication
and order; and whereas Dr John Crews Pelot became the
purchaser of said land at said sale for the sum of one
thousand two hundred and twenty dollars, he being the high-
est and best bidder therefor and that being the highest
sum bid for the same; and whereas due report of said sale
has been made and filed by me with the Judge of said Pro-
bate Court; and whereas upon the filing of said report the
said sale has been confirmed by an order and decree of said
Probate Court in and for Alachua County Florida made and
rendered on the 4th day of June AD 1877. And I the said P.H.
Young as such Commissioner as aforesaid thereby authorized
and required to execute a deed of conveyance to the said lands
to him the said John Crews Pelot to the land as hereinafter de-
scribed he being the purchaser thereof at said sale,
Now therefore know all men by these presents that I the said
P.H. Young as such Commissioner as aforesaid for and in
consideration of the said sum of Twelve hundred and
twenty dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained and sold and
conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey
unto him the said John Crews Pelot of Manatee County Florida
the following described tract piece or parcel of land lying and
being situate in Alachua County Florida known as the "Glenwood
Plantation" and particularly described as Section Twenty (20) in
Township nine (9) South, Range nineteen (19) East containing
six hundred and forty (640) acres more or less.
To have and to hold the same together with all and singular the 
tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the same
belonging or in any wise appurtaining to him the said
John Crews Pelot his heirs executors, administrators and assigns
in fee simple forever
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
my seal this 4th day of June AD 1877
