This Indenture made and entered into on this the twentieth day of Octo-
ber in the year of our Lord on thousand eight hundred and sixty two
between James T. Soutter of the City of New York and John McRae of the
City of Wilmington, Trustees, duly appointed by the Florida Rail Road
Company, parties of the first part, and Thomas Tillis party of the
Second part, Witnesseth:
That the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration
of the sum of one hundred & fifty three & 08/100 dollars to them in
hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt where
of is hereby acknowledged, hath given, granted, aliened, bargain-
ed, sold, transferred; and do by these presents give, grant, alien,
bargain, sell, transfer and convey unto the said party of the second
part, The North West quarter of the South East quarter of
section thirty one and the South west quarter of the North West
quarter and the North West quarter of the South West quar-
ter of same section (thirty one) all of township seven south
of Range twenty one East containing one hundred & thirty &
47/100 acres more or less.  93.08 at $1 pr acre $93.08 40.44 at $1 1/2
pr acre $60.66.
To Have and to Hold the above described premises, together with 
all and singular the rights and privileges, immunities, easements,
and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise appert-
aining unto the said party of the second part, and his heirs, as
their absolute property in fee simple forever. And the said
parties of the first part for themselves and successors, as 
Trustees as aforesaid, and for the said Florida Rail Road compa-
ny, and for all others claiming by, through or under them,
or either of them, do covenant and agree that they are seized of
a good and indefeasable fee simple to the above premises,
and that they have good right to convey the same as they have 
conveyed the same free and discharged from all encumbrances
and liens of any and every nature and description; and that
the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns;
shall quietly and peaceably enjoy the above described prem-
ises against all persons whatsoever, lawfully claiming the same.
And that they will at any and at all times make, such further conven
ants, conveyances and assurances at the expense of the said party of
the second part, as he the said party of the second part heirs or assi-
gns, or counsel learned in the law, may require.
In testimony whereof, the said parties of the first part have
hereunto affixed their hands and Seals, this the day and year above
written.
