for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars
($500) to them in hand paid by the parties of the second part, the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold, given gran-
ted, aliened, released and remised, and by these presents do give, grant bar-
gain and sell alien remise release and convey unto the parties of the
second part and their heirs in fee simple - all that certain tract or
parcel of land lying and situate in the County of Alachua and State of
Florida and known and described on the map of public survey of
said State as a portion of section number thirteen, in township number
nine Range twenty two East - and more particularly described on a map
of recent survey and recorded in the books in the Clerks office in the County
in which it lies - as Lot number four (4) and bounded as follows = Com-
mencing at the Bellamy Road at a stake running North to Santa Fee
Lake twenty seven chains and forty seven links, then commencing at
same stake or place of beginning and running west with the Bellamy road
seven chains and fifty links to a stake thence North thirty six
chains and forty seven links to Santa Fee Lake and comprising in
all twenty three acres and two one hundredths of an acre (23 2/100)
more or less.
To Have and to Hold the above described premises together with all
and singular, the rights and privileges immunities, easement and
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining
unto the said parties of the second part and their heirs as their ab-
solute property in fee Simple forever and the parties of the first
part for themselves, their heirs executors and assigns do covenant
and agree that they are seized of a good and indefeasable fee
simple to the above described premises and that they have a good
right to convey the same, as they do convey the same free and disch-
arged from all encumbrances and liens of any and every nature and
description and that the said parties of the Second part their heirs and
assigns shall quietly and peaceably enjoy the above described prem-
ises against all persons whatsoever lawfully claiming the same

personally appeared before me John F. Davis Clerk of the County

Court of^Shelby County, the said Nelson Gray being known to me to
be the individual who executed said deed upon oath then and there
administered to him acknowledged that he did execute said
deed for the purposes therein expressed, and the said Flora Gray
being to me first privately examined separate and apart from
her husband, and having the said deed also fully explained
to her in said examination she did execute said deed and that
she did so freely and without any fear or compulsion of her husband
