State of Florida } This Indenture made and entered into this the 6th day of 
Alachua County   } August AD 1877 between S.C. Tucker Sheriff of Alachua County 
Florida and W.A. Colclough of the Second part Witnesseth, That whereas 
I the said S.C. Tucker Sheriff as aforesaid under and by virtue of an execution 
issued out of the Circuit Court of Alachua County in the Fifth Judicial Cir-
cuit of Florida in favor of Matilda S. Brown as administratrix of George 
L. Brown deceased and against David A. Friar I did levy upon and Seize 
the property hereinafter described as the property of the said David A. 
Friar to Satisfy said Execution and did advertise the Same for Sale on 
the first Monday of August being the Sixth day of Said month and 
did pursuant to said levy and advertisement Sell the Same at public 
auction before the Court House door in the Town of Gainesville in 
the County and State aforesaid on the said 6th day of August AD 1877, 
between the legal hours of Sale and whereas at said Sale W.A. Colclough
became the purchaser of the property hereinafter described for the 
Sum of Sixty dollars that being the highest and best Sum bid for 
the Same 
Now therefore Know ye that I the Said S.C. Tucker Sheriff as aforesaid 
under and by virtue of the Said Execution and the levy advertisement 
and Sale thereunder made and for and in consideration of the Said 
Sum of Sixty dollars to me in hand paid by the Said W.A. Colclough
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained 
and Sold and by these presents do grant bargain Sell and Convey 
unto the said W.A. Colclough and to his heirs and assigns for-
ever all the following described property to wit: East half of the
North East Quarter of Section (9) nine township Seven (7) Range Nine
teen (19) S&E lying and being in the County of Alachua and State of Florida
To have and to hold the Same unto him the Said W.A. Colclough and to 
his heirs and assigns forever as fully and effectually as I the Said 
S.C. Tucker as Sheriff as aforesaid might Could or ought to Sell and 
Convey the Same.
