Certify that J. Holdsmith Gordon Esq, whose name is Subscribed to
the Certificate of the proof or acknowledgement of the annexed instru-
ment and thereon written, was at the time of taking Such proof or acknowl-
               edgment a Notary Public in and for the Said District,
               dwelling therein, commissioned, Sworn, and duly autho-

Alachua County   } This Indenture made this the thirtieth day
of January AD Eighteen hundred and Seventy Seventy four, Between
Samuel T. Prescott, of the State & County above written party of the
first part & James A. Williams of the Same place, party of the Sec-
ond part - Witnesseth that the party of the first part for & in Con-
Sideration of the Sum of one hundred & fifty Dollars to him in
hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bar-
gained & Sold  & by these presents doth grant & Convey unto the
party of the Second part, his heirs and assigns, all that portion or
part of - The North East Quarter of the North East Quarter of
Section Twelve, Township Eight, Range Eighteen East, Llying South of
the public road known as the "Black Creek Road," all being & lying
in the State & County aforesaid, & Containing thirty acres, more or
less. Together with all and Singular the tenements & hereditaments there-
unto belonging or in any wise appertaining. To have & to hold unto
the Said party of the Second part, his heirs, executors administrators
& assigns, forever in "Fee Simple," And the party of the first part
does hereby Covenant & agree to with, the party of the Second
part, to warrant & forever defend the title to the party of the Second
part, his heirs and assigns, against the claim, or claims, of any
