State of Florida } This Indenture made and entered into this the
Alachua County } Sixth day of August AD Eighteen hundred and
Seventy Seven between Samuel C. Tucker Sheriff of Alachua County Florida
of the first part and Ella Bryan party of the second part, Witnesseth
That Whereas, I the said S.C. Tucker as Sheriff as aforesaid, under
and by virtue of a decree of Foreclosure or Mortgage made and
rendered in the 27th day of November AD 1874 in the Circuit
Court of Alachua County in the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida
in favor of John S. Samis, and against the administrator and
administratrix of Stephen Bryan deceased late of said County (as by
reference to said decree of foreclosure on record in the Clerks office
of Alachua County Florida will more fully appear) I did levy upon
and Seize the property hereinafter described as the property of the
Estate of the said Stephen Bryan deceased to Satisfy said decree
of foreclosure and did duly and legally advertise the Same for
Sale on the first Monday in August, being the Sixth day of Said month,
and did pursuant to said levy and advertisement and the authority
in me as Said Sheriff vested by the statues in such cases made and
provided, Sell the property hereinafter described as the property of the
Estate of the said Stephen Bryan deceased, at public auction before the
Court House door in the town of Gainesville in the County and State aforesaid
on the said 6th day of August AD 1877, between the legal hours of Sale
and whereas at said Sale Ella Bryan became the purchaser of the
property hereinafter described for the sum of Two hundred Dollars
that being the highest and best Sum bid for the Same and the
Said Ella Bryan being the bidder thereof.
Now therefore Know ye that I the Said S.C. Tucker as Sheriff as afore-
said under and by virtue of Said decree of foreclosure and the levy
advertisement and Sale thereunder made and for and in consideration
of the Said Sum of Two hundred Dollars to me as such Sheriff in
hand paid by the Said Ella Bryan the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, I have granted bargained and Sold and Conveyed and
by these presents do grant bargain Sell and Convey unto the said
Ella Bryan and to her heirs and assigns forever all the following
described property to wit: Fractional lots one (1) two (2) three (3) and
Seven (7) and the North West Corner of lot Eight (8) and the South
West Quarter of Section twenty nine (29) except three (3) acres in lot
Seven (7), Lots one (1) and two (2) and lot one (1) of the North East
Quarter of Section twenty Eight (28) and South East Quarter of South
East Quarter and South West Quarter of South East Quarter
of South east Quarter of Section twenty (20) and lots three (3) four
(4) and five (5) and South West Quarter of North West Quarter
of Section twenty one (21) in township Eight (8) Range twenty
two (22) S&E containing in all Seven hundred and Sixty three
& fourteen one hundredths 763 14/100 acres lying and being in Alachua
County Florida: To Have and to Hold unto her the Said
Ella Bryan and to her heirs and assigns forever as fully and
effectually as I the Said S.C. Tucker Sheriff as aforesaid under
and by virtue of the levy advertisement and Sale aforesaid
