County of Kings } that we John C. Smith and his wife
Delia C. Smith of the City of Brooklyn, County of Kings and
State of New York for and in Consideration of the Sum of
Eight hundred Dollars to us chash in hand paid by Lizzie
F. Carew of Alachua County in the State of Florida at and
before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, and for and in Consideration
of the further Sum of Thirty Six hundred dollars to us well
Secured to be paid by the Said Lizzie F. Carew, have granted,
bargained Sold and conveyed; and by these presents do grant,
bargain Sell and Convey unto her the Said Lizzie A. Carew
all that Certain piece parcel or tract of land lying being and
Situated in Section twenty Nine (29), of Township ten (10) South of
Range Nineteen East (19) the Same being a part of the "Arredondo
Grant" in Alachua County in the State of Florida, particularly de-
Scribed as commencing at the South East corner of Said Section twenty
Nine (29) thence West along the Southern boundary line of Said
Section Twenty nine (29) to the South West Corner thereof. Thence
North Twelve (12) chains and Fifty (50) links to the road Bed of
the Atlantic, Gulf and West India Transit Company Rail
Road, thence along the South Side of Said Rail Road bed in a
Northeasterly direction Forty nine (49) chains and Fifty (50)
links to a stake, thence North Eighteen (18) Chains to the
Southern line of the present residence lot of Thomas
W. Chestnut Esqre thence East one (1) chain and Seventy (70) links
to a stake, thence North Fourteen (14) chains and Eighty
Seven (87) links to a Stake, thence North Six (6) chains and
twenty-two (22) links to a stake on the Northern boundary line
of Said Section twenty-nine (29) thence East along said
Northern boundary line to the North East Corner of Said Sec-
tion twenty-nine (29), thence South to the place of beginning, Saving
and excepting Ten (10) acres of land in said Section twenty-
nine (29) upon which William Watts resides and upon
which he has a dwelling house and other outbuildings sit-
uated on the South Side of said Rail Road bed, the said
lands hereby conveyed measuring and containing Four hundred
(400) Acres more or less - together with all and Singular the
the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances to the Same belong-
ing or in any wise appertaining -
To Have and to Hold above granted premises unto her the said
Lizzie F. Carew and to her heirs, executors and administrators and
assigns in fee Simple forever. And we the Said John C. Smith
and Delia C. Smith his wife for ourselves our heirs executors
and administrators do covenant with the Said Lizzie F. Carew
her heirs executors and administrators and assigns that we
are lawfully Seized in fee of the above granted premises;
That they are free from all incumbrances: that we have
good right to Sell and Convey the Same; and that we will
