did levy, upon the property herein after described and did
advirtize the Same for the Sale under Said execution on the 7th
day of February AD 1875, and did on said day Sell the
particularly described portion of Said land So advertized as
the Same is hereinafter described at public out cry before the
Court House Door in the town of Gainesville, Florida, to
Mrs Josephine M. Brooks she being the highest bidder
at said sale for said particular piece of Said land So
advetized for Sale as aforesaid at and for the Sum of
Twenty five Dollars that being the highest Sum bid for the
Same at Said Sale
Now Therefore, Know all men by these presents that I
the Said Louis A. Barnes as Such Sheriff as aforesaid
for and in Consideration of the Said Sum of Twenty five
Dollars to me in hand paid by the said Mrs Josephine M. Brooks
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged (have granted bar-
gained Sold and conveyed: and by these presents do grant bar-
gain Sell and Convey unto the Said Josephine M. Brooks
all that Certain piece or part of the fractional part or portion of
the South West Quarter of Section Four (4) in township ten (10)
South of Range twenty (20) East, particularly described as
follows, to wit: Commencing at the North East Corner of the
Lot in the town of Gainesville Florida, popularly known
as the "Oak Hall Lot" run East Eighteen 25/100 (18 25/100) chains
thence South Seven 47/100 (7 47/100) Chains, to the North West
Corner of Lot Nº Six (6) the place of beginning of the property
hereby conveyed, thence South Four hundred (400) feet thence
East Four hundred (400) feet, thence North four hundred (400)
feet, thence West four hundred (400) feet to the place of begin-
ning - also another lot Containing Sixty (60) East of the
North East Corner of Lot Nº Five (5) running from thence
East Four hundred (400) feet, thence South Four hundred
(400) feet, thence West Four hundred (400) feet, thence North
Four hundred (400) feet to the place of beginning, all of
Said Lots being as aforesaid a part of said fractional
part of the South West Quarter of Section four (4) in
township ten (10) South, Range twenty (20) East advertized
and Sold in Subdivisions on Said 7th day of February
AD 1876 under said execution together with all and
Singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances
to the Same belonging or in anywise appurtaining - To have
and to hold the Same to her the Said Josephine M. Brooks
and to her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns
in fee Simple forever, as fully as I the Said L.A.
Barnes as Such Sheriff under and by virtue of Said
Execution, levy, advertizement and Sale might or
Could Convey the Same.
