County of Alachua } This Indenture made and entered
into this 18th day of July AD 1872 between George S. Riggs and
Martha W. Riggs his wife of the one part and John C. Ley
of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in Consideration
of the Sum of Six hundred & fifty dollars ($650) to the party
of the first part in hand paid by the party of the Second part,
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the Said party of
the first part hath bargained Sold and doth hereby Convey
unto the Said party of the Second part all that certain lot or
parcel of land known and described ** *** No Nineteen
(19) township Four (4) Range one (1) of the lands Sold by Joel
B. Smith to the East Florida Seminary and according to the
Survey of Said lands lying in the Village of Micanopy
and containing one acre more or less to have and to hold
the above described and granted premises with all and
Singular the rights improvements and appurtenances there-
unto belonging or in anywise appurtaining to the only
proper use benefit and behoof of the Said party of the
Second part his heirs executors and assigns in fee Simple
forever. And the Said party of the first part hereby Covenants
to and with the Said party of the Second part he is Seized
in fee of the above described and granted premises
and every part thereof and that he will and his heirs
executors & administrators Shall warrant and defend the
titles to the Same to the Said party of the Second part his
heirs executors and assigns against all lawful claims
