Alachua County   } This memorandum of agreement
made and entered into this fourth day of January 1875
between Thos G.P. Thompson of the first part and M.B.
& J.H. Harrison in their own right and as executors of
Dr James Harrison decd of the State of South Carolina
and County of Greenville of the Second part Witnesseth
That the said party of the first part for and in con-
sideration of the premises hereinafter mentioned
hath agreed and by these presents doth agree to plant
out in Orange trees and cutivate twenty (20) acres of
land belonging to and owned by the Said party of the
Second part situated on what is known as "the Lake
Field on lot No Seven (7) Moses E. Levy Grant the said
Orange trees to be planted in rows part of them Twenty
five feet apart each way and the remainder thirty
feet apart each way rows running at right angles with
Each other, The said planting to be completed within
Five (5) years from the first of January AD 1876 at which
time the said party of the first part agrees to deliver
to the said party of the Second part the aforesaid
twenty acres of land under a good and Sufficient fence
in a good State of Cultivation and having thereon a full
stand of growing & thrifty Orange trees.
And the said party of the first part furthermore agrees to
plant out at least Four (4) Acres in accordance with the
foregoing stipulation each year, Commencing from the first day
of January AD 1875 until the whole twenty (20) acres shall
have been completed. And the Said party of the first part
furthermore agrees that in Case he Shall from any cause
fails to carry out and perform his part of this agreement
for any one of the five years he will and Shall for that
year payment at the customary rate.
And the Said party of the Second part agrees to let the
the Said party of the first part have the use of thirty (30)
acres of land for and during the term of five years above
mentioned free of rent and of all other considerations
than the faithful performance of this agreement the Said
