and lawful authority to grant bargain, sell, and convey the same in
manner and form aforesaid, and that the said party of the Second
part his heirs and assigns, shall and may at all times hereafter, peacibly,
and quietly have, hold, use, occupy, possess and enjoy the above granted premises,
and Every part and parcel thereof, with the appurtenances without any let, suit,
trouble, molestation, Eviction or disturbance of the said party of the first part,
his heirs or assigns, or of any other person or persons lawfully claiming or to
claim the same, and that the same are now free, clear, discharged, and unencumbered
of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, Estates, Judgements, Taxes,
assessments, and incumbrances of what nature and kind soever, and the
said party of the first part, for himself and his heirs, the above described
and hereby granted and released premises, and every part and parcel thereof,
with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the Second part, his heirs and assigns,
against the said party of the first part, and his heirs, and against all and every
person and persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming, or to claim, the same, shall and
will warrant, and by these presents forever defend.

This Indenture made and entered into on this the Twenty ninth day of March
in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sixty nine between
James T. Soutter of the City of New York, and John McRae of the City of
Wilmington, Trustees, duly appointed by the Florida Rail Road Company
parties of the first part, and Alexander Goodson of Alachua County State of
Florida party of the second part Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first
part for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred Dollars
to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath given, granted, aliened, bargained,
Sold, transferred; and by these presents give, grant, alien, bargain, sell, transfer
and convey unto the said party of the second part, All that certain tract or
parcel of land lying or being in the County of Alachua and State aforesaid and
known upon the plats of the Government Surveys of said State as the North half
of the North East Quarter of Section Twenty three, in Township Nine South and
Range Twenty two East (N1/2 of NE1/4 of Sec 23 in T9 S& R22 E) Containing
Eighty Acres more or less
To Have and to Hold, the above described premises, togather with all and singular
the rights and privileges, immunities, easements and appurtenances thereunto
belonging, or in any wise appertaining unto the said party of the second part,
