Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that I Samuel J. Kennard
                 } of the State and County aforesaid for and in consideration of
Four Hundred dollars, to me in hand paid by Roland Thomas, the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged, hath granted Bargained and Sold and doth by these presents
Bargain Sell and convey unto the said Roland Thomas and his heirs and assigns
forever, the following described Lands to wit, The North East Quarter of the South
West Quarter and the South West Quarter of the South East Quarter of section (16)
Sixteen in Township Eight (8) South of Range twenty one (21) East,
Containing Eighty (80) acres, and lying and being in the County of Alachua
and State of Florida - To have and to hold unto the said Roland Thomas
and his heirs and assigns for Ever in fee Simple
  Signed Sealed and Delivered this the 2nd day of September 1863

Alachua County   } Before me a Notary Public in and for said County personally
                   came Saml J. Kennard and his wife Ideller Kennard who
Severally acknowledge the executed the within for the purposes therein expressed
and upon a separate examination apart from her said Husband the said Ideler
Kennard says she Executed the same freely and voluntarily and without fear
of or from her said Husband.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal This twenty Seventh
day of November Eighteen hundred and Seventy Seven
