        Notes of the Survey
All lines running north and south have been run
paralell with the East boundary of section 23
Which has a course North 3° 30' West from the magnetic
meridian:- The starting point being a stake at the South east
corner; established by surveyor Halliday: said stake being 40
chains south of the Govt section post.  Thence the south
boundary has been run parallel to the lines established by Surveyor Voyle: said south
boundary making an angle with the east boundary of 90° 21'; & all lines running east
and west have been run paralell with this; so that all blocks are out of square by
21' - all angles have been turned by vernier of transit: and all distances measured
by rods brought to contact on a level:- The rods used being the standard measure
for the City of Fernandina. All block corners are marked by copper tacks on
six inch lightwood blocks sunk into the earth.  Sxcale of "original" plan
   100 feet to the inch
