The Grantors Albert D. Loomis, and Marietta, his Wife
of Chicago in the County of Cook and State of Illinois
for and in Consideration of Nine hundred (900) Dollars
in hand paid, Convey and warrant to Clara M. Ross
wife of Alfred F. Ross of Buchanan County of
Berrien State of Michigan the following real estate
described as follows
                  Commencing at the North West
Corner of Emily C. Volks land, which Corner is Sixteen
Chains and Seventy five links, West from the North
West Corner of J. Voyles Land, running thence
South fifteen Chains, thence west three and one half
chains, thence North fifteen Chains, thence East three
and one half Chains to the place of beginning Contain-
ing five acre more or less, all Situated in the North half
of Section four (4) township ten (10) South, of Range
twenty (20) East, In the town of Gainesville Situated
in the County of Alachua in the State of Florida, here-
by releasing and waiving all rights under and by
virtue of the Homestead Exemption laws of the State of
Florida.

day of November AD 1877, before me Simeon W. King, a
Commissioner of Deeds in and for said State, duly
appointed by the Governor of the State of Florida and
qualified, according to the laws thereof, to take the ac-
knowledgement and Proof of the execution of Deeds, or
other Conveyances, or Leases, and of any Contract,
Power of Attorney, or other writing under Seal or not, to
administer Oaths and Affirmations, and take and Certify
Depositions to be used, or recorded in the Said State of
Florida, personally appeared Albert D. Loomis and
Marietta Loomis his wife who are known to me to be the
Same persons, described in, and who executed the an-
nexed Instrument of writing, between themselves as one
of the parties thereto, and Clara M. Ross wife of Alfred
F. Ross the other party thereto, and the Said Albert
D. Loomis and Marietta his wife, who severally ackn-
owledged to me that they executed the Said Instru
ment as their free act and deed, for the uses and pur-
poses therein mentioned and Set forth.
And the Said Marietta Loomis being of full age
