Alachua County   } This Indenture made and entered into this Fifth day of
November AD 1877 between Ola Matheson and Wm C. Matheson husband of the
Ola Matheson of the first part and John C. Eastman of the second part
all of the State and County aforesaid. Witnesseth That the Said parties of the
first part for and in consideration of the Sum of Four Hundred ($40000) Dollars
paid to the Said Ola Matheson by the Said party of the Second part at and
before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged have granted, bargained Sold and conveyed, and by these presents
do grant bargain, sell and convey unto the Said party of the Second part,
the Southern portion of that Lot, tract, or parcel of land lying and being in
the town of Gainesville, State and County aforesaid, the whole of which
Said lot was conveyed by James B. Bailey to Susan J. McDonell, wife of
T.A. McDonell by deed dated on the first day of February AD 1861, and
conveyed by T.A. McDonell and S.J. McDonell by their deed dated January
1st AD 1867 and conveyed by deed of S.F. Harvard and L.A. Harvard dated
February 5th AD 1867 to Elise M. Haile, and conveyed by deed of Elise M. Haile
and Charles E. Haile dated the 11th day of November AD 1875 to Ola Matheson
all of which said deeds are recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court of Said County, and the northern portion of which Lot was conveyed by
deed of Ola Matheson and Wm C. Matheson dated the 25th day of January AD
1876 to Kate R. Young wife of P.H. Young which said deed is also of record
in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit of said County --- Now the portion
of said Lot hereby Conveyed is described as follows, to wit:- Beginning
at the South East Corner of the lot above mentioned and described,
and running North along the Western boundary line of Main Street, 
one Hundred (100) feet: Thence West one Hundred (100) feet Thence North
Thirty (30) feet Thence West one Hundred 9100) feet to the Western
boundary line of said lot, Thence South along street line One
Hundred and Thirty (130) feet: Thence East Two Hundred (200) feet
to the point of beginning. Being bounded on the North by property of
Kate R. Young, on the East by Main Street, on the South by a Street
dividing this property from the property of the Estate of R.H. Bevill
and on the West by a Street dividing this lot from the lot at present occupied
by Wm K. Cessna. Together with all the rights tenements and hereditaments
in anywise appertaining to the said lot of land hereby conveyed,
To have and to hold the said lot of land with all the appurtenances
unto the Said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, in
fee simple. And the Said parties of the first part do hereby warrant
and will forever defend the title to the said lot of land in and to the said
party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever.
In testimony whereof the Said parties of the first part have
hereunto Set their hands and affixed their Seals this day and
year first above written
