Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that we John
L. Barton, (Bachelor) of Chautaqua County New York and Annie
L. Barton and D.W.L. Barton her husband of Alachua County
Florida for and in Consideration of the Sum of Four hundred
and fifty Eight Dollars to us cash in hand paid on this day by
Nathaniel Howland the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge
have granted bargained Sold and Conveyed: And by these presents
do grant bargain, Sell and Convey unto him the Said Nathaniel
Howland, all that Certain piece parcel or tract of land lying
being and Situated in the County of Alachua in the State of
Florida: to wit: Commencing at a point in the West line of Section
Twenty seven (27) in township ten (10) South of Range Nineteen (19) East,
Thirty (30) Chains and Fifty (50) links South of the North West
Corner of Said Section twenty Seven (27) and running thence
South along said Section line Seven (7) Chains and Fifty (50)
Links, thence East, at right angles to the aforesaid Sec-
tion line, Fourteen (14) Chains thence West twenty five (25) chains

thence South Six (6) Chains and fifty links, thence West Seven (7) Chains
to the place of begining, the Same being a part of the "Arredondo Grant"
Together with all and Singular the tenements hereditaments and
appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining
To Have and to Hold the Same unto him the Said Nathaniel
Howland and to his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns
in fee Simple absolute forever.
And we the Said John L. Barton and Annie L. Barton and D.W.L.
Barton her husband do hereby Covenant and agree to and with
the Said Nathanial Howland and his heirs, executors, administrators
and assigns that we will and our and each of our heirs executors
and administrators Shall and will warrant and defend him the
Said Nathanial Howland and his heirs executors administrators
and assigns in the title to the property hereby Conveyed and every
part thereof against the lawful claims and demands of any and
all persons whomsoever, now claiming or hereafter to claim the
Same
